Yeti:

The Yeti, though resembling an Abominable Snowman or Big Foot in appearance, are in actuality alien robots. Their external appearance, that of a huge hairy biped, disguises a small spherical mechanism that animates the creatures. The Yeti serve the Great Intelligence, a disembodied entity from another planet which seeks to conquer the Earth. The Yeti initially serve to scare off curiosity seekers, but later form an army serving the Great Intelligence.

The Yeti and its master are thwarted twice by the Second Doctor, once in a Himalayas and again, with the help of then Colonel Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart and the British military, when they attack London. The Second Doctor and a retired Brigadier again face a Yeti when all three are taken to Gallifrey and placed in the Death Zone. They manage to escape.
